Van jongs af aan heb ik een speciale band met de zee en het strand. Als kind ging ik met ons gezin of naar Zeeland (Oost - West Kapelle en Domburg) of naar Fire Island. Altijd naar de zee en het strand. Enkele jaren geleden op Fire Island is ook de echte liefde voor drijfhout ontstaan.
De speciale vormen, door de zee en het zand gemaakt, geven drijfhout iets echt unieks. Daar probeer ik dan mooie dingen van te maken. Ik hoop dat u ook zult genieten van mijn werk.
Since I was a kid I have always had a special bond with the sea and the ocean. As a family we also used to spend our hoidays near the ocean, either in Holland in Zeeland or in the states on Fire Island. A few years ago during one of my Fire Island holidays the real love for driftwood started.
The special shapes, created by the sea and the sand, give driftwood that special and unique feeling. I try to make that into nice things. I hope you will enjoy my work and you can always contact me with questions or suggestions.
